Singer Fuki's singing is actually in Shigin, a vocal style usually reserved for Japanese poetry. She has no formal training in Shigin or singing. Another Japanese singing style somewhat similar to Shigin is called Enka. Yuko Suzuhana, vocalist for the Japanese folk metal band Wagakki Band also sings in Shigin.
Love Unlucky Morpheus been following them closely for a couple of years nw. Just wish I'd discovered them sooner in 2019 during Metal Matsuri in the UK. ☹️
It looks like you have now listened to my favorite Japanese bands - Band-Maid, Lovebites, Nemophila, Unlucky Morpheus, Asterism, Gacharic Spin, Galneryus and Hanabie. I appreciate your honesty in your reaction. The widest disagreement about a band usually involves the vocalist. Fuki happens to be my favorite Japanese vocalist but I understand why some would not have the same opinion, especially when she really leans into that Japanese style of singing. I have listened to Fuki perform with her early band, Light Bringer, a side project band called Doll$Boxx (with the core four instrumentalists of Gacharic Spin), her solo music, and of course Unlucky Morpheus. My suggestion for a next Unlucky Morpheus would be their live performance of Black Pentagram - ruclips.net/video/RUiRlUGMTwY/видео.html I think you should also check out Doll$Boxx and the song Take My Chance. The music video has some humor in its poking a bit of fun at Japanese Idol groups and the guys that listen to them - ruclips.net/video/mu2z4Uf9Tgc/видео.html
@@NormandyGaming You might like Fuki's voice better on the Doll$Boxx song. She still has the vibrato but dials it back on most, if not all, her singing with Doll$Boxx. Black Pentgram is a song that still has the strong vibrato but there is so much else great happening especially Jill, the violinist. To me it is a song very much worth repeat listens that will get you use to Fuki's vocals.
UM is one of my favorite bands. Each of their members is a top level musician. Their music style includes neo classical, speed metal, metalcore, melodic death and other elements. Their drummer fumiya is also the drummer in your galneryus reaction,I recommend 《black pentagram》live as the next one🤘🏻
if speed/power metal isn't your thing you may check their song Takiyasha Hime (it introduces some screamo done by Shiren, the guitarist) and it's more around melodic death metal or their newest song Welcome to Valhalla, it's also slower than most of their tracks
I understand what you are saying about Fuki's (singer) vibrato, it's a Japanese form of singing and can grate on you when you 1st come across it, a lot off people do not like it to start with. It's one of those things I don't really notice any more, unless she does a really long note. The song is a rewrite of a Japanese video game series called Touhou, which they give a metal edge and lyrics. The band do switch around their style and sound, but they will always have a Japanese influence, they range from really heavy to really soft, "Want to LIVE" compared to "Welcome to Valhalla". They call themselves a technical melodic speed metal band. Maybe next try "Angreifer" ruclips.net/video/gGKWgM4IOgc/видео.html
Can you please check out songs from the band Imperial Circus Dead Decadence? These 4 songs are really good to start if you want to check them out by any chance: 夜葉:罪と罰の螺旋―― Uta 禊祓の神産は宣い、禍祓の贖罪は誓う。feat.あらまり 黄泉より聴こゆ、皇国の燈と焔の少女。

Thanks! I love learning stuff like this

Thanks! I'll make sure it's on the list. Though it's not bad I think maybe it just needs to grow on me. I'll keep an open mind with each new song!

I'll for sure check it out! They have a ton of talent open to hearing more for sure
FUKi is the best female vocalist in the world. if you don't like her style don't listen to them.

black pentagram and cadaver/revedac from them have less vibrato.
